Alright, I have a huge problem!
I have gone to a dermatologist, and the stuff he gave me did nothing to help.
I have a pale, brownish complexion with a reddish/goldish undertone (I'm mixed), and have dark small acne scars all over which are obvious close up. Also, at the same time, I have really bad acne. Is there something I can use which is easy and convinient to apply and use since I am in a boarding school with not too much access to alot of things such as a full kitchen, privacy and etc. Please help! I have read through the thread, and your advie is really good, but in my case, not easy to follow

yes, there a lot of limitations in boarding school. You can try to drink a lot of  water and exercise a lot. Also put lime juice on your face.

hi Gisele

Acne caused due to hormone changes and excessive secretion of sebum oil.
Some remedies are in this forum.
First of all, you should know your skin type and then treat it.
Drink plenty of water and regularly add (raw) vegetable salad or fruit salad (or eat raw carrot) in your food.
Neem leaves with turmeric pack help to reduce the marks.
If you have pimples, apply this paste on the pimples. Make a paste of pure sandal wood powder with water or rose water. Rose water helps to get rid of oil in your skin.
Also multani mitti powder face pack helps to get rid of pimples.
If you have greasy hair or dandruff on the head, pimples will appear. So take a remedy for that.

Always be happy, this will enhance your beauty. Smiley

gisele are you using a benzoil peroxide cream to dry out your pimples ,if so then I would not advice you apply any thing acidic on face .instead since you are in a hostel and cannot make your own recipe for remedies, you do get the pulp of aloe vera in the market ,it is a gel like substance which basically will heal the skin first and is excellent for oily skin ,you can buy a jar or tube and keep it with you and use it at night.

also please step up ypur cleansing routine ,but a tree tea oil face rince or any face wash from nuetrogena for acne prone skin and keep splashing cold water on your face time to time ,

we will heal the skin first and then you can try various recepies for losing a tan and getting fair from this forum it self.most imp do not pick your face or use any harsh products as they tend to clog more pores and give you more skin problems.

Thanks!
Well, I tend to drink alot of water and eat alot of fruits throughout the day, and I just bought Neutrogena deepclean cream cleanser.Aloe vera, is that better than cocoa butter for the skin? My friend suggested that.
Would it be smart then, using the advice in the thread that I, say, use the neutrogena as a cleanser, lime juice as a toner/lightener and aloe vera as moisturizer? And what's a pack?
Sorry for all the questions, the advice is amazing!
Thanks!

hi gisele

do not use lemon juice directly on your face ,as it may burn since you have pimples,so I would suggest cold water as a toner and for a cleanser you can use nuetrogena or cetaphil as they are mild and not harsh.
Cocoa butter is very rich in texture which could trigger off more pimples on your face , the reason I aksed you to apply aloe vera is beacuse it is in gel form ,and you will not have any residue remaining on the skin and you tend to feel fresh .so for the time being use more of aloe vera

so you can cleanse with nuetrogena
tone with cold water or dilute the lime juice in water
after toning apply a thin film of aloe vera gel on face

regarding face packs you could use a pack once in 15-20 days.
you say you want a bright look on your face

so use the white of a egg on face and rince with cold water
or use a cucumber juice ( extracted from scraping cucumber) on face  and also do not forget to look up for more face pack recepies in this forum

I just would like to say the english eqvivalent to multanni miiti would be the powder  of clay which are available in any store

good luck
