Mederma - removal of scars

Mederma contains cepalin , a botanical extract and they claim that scars will be less noticeable  in  8 weeks. Has anyone tried using it?

and the chemical treatment would be melalite which contains 2% hydroquinoine which faes scars but you need to consult your dermatologist first

Actually any of the cheaper products that contain the same active ingredient also work as well; anyplace from the grocery to Walgreens has a generic brand of almost everything in there...
