The best yogic activity for losing weight is the SURYA NAMASKAR, thsi yogic excercise is that which makes sure all the parts of the body are excercised and the benefits are too many. watch this apce for more yoga realted asanas

Interesting, I did not know yoga could also be used to lose weight. I thought it was only a stress healer.

Yoga is indeed a great way to lost weight! Infact swami ramdev (no introduction needed!) has told about so many ways to lose weight-there is pranayam, kapal bhaati, anulomb vilomb, they actually work, my mom has lost about 5 kgs by doing them everyday in past 3 months or so!

The pranayam done properly can rid the body of all health problems and mental stress and not to sound corny you can reduce your vayu intake thru pranayam which results in your body feeling less bloated .
