I started a diet monday and I eat three meals a day with a snack in between lunch and supper and a snack after supper.  I am getting in about 1117 calories a day and I walk 30 minutes on a tredmill every day...which is approximately a mile. My question is will I lose a fair amount of weight by the end of the year? I have to lose 80-90lbs

If you stick with your diet, and keep exercising then you will.

If your not losing as much weight , then you might have to exercise more.

Try 45 minutes instead of 30. Don't overdo it though.

Yes, A balance of diet + Exercise is necessary Smiley I am sure you will see positive results, also don't forget to drink atleast 3 litres of water everyday and don't ban anything from your diet i.e. if you feel like having a chocolate, have one small piece and do 15 minutes extra exercise, just don't starve your body-Its going to be beneficial for you in the long run, All the best Smiley
