Everyone is born with beautiful skin, but as we age and due to environmental factors and daily stress our skin being the largest organ of our body takes mighty beating.

In order to maintain one's skin as we advance in age we need to take extra precaution with regards to skin exposure to sunlight ,our diet and have a positive outlook .

We need to incorporate the CTM routine ie cleansing ,toning and moisturizing proceedure for natural good skin.

If you have oily, dry skin or very sensitive skin it is difficult to take care of it.  Good skin is mainly hereditary, taking care can only some difference to how it ages. Most cosmetics are made from chemicals and can damage the skin in the long term

I am one of the "lucky" people to have been blessed with a good skin, even though its completely dry! But I have never had any major problems with it, the reason being some fundamental steps I have taken to ensure its wellness-

1) Drinking atleast 10 glasses of water everyday is essential

2) Splashing face with cool water 4 times a day keeps it refreshed and unclogs pores

3) Minimised use of cosmetics-in my case, only a NEEM face wash twice a day and an ALOE VERA moisturising cream to hydrate it everyday

4) Always carrying tissue paper to wipe off sweat and dust and grime, especially while travelling

5) Protection from Sun, using umbrellas, caps, scarfs while going out throughout the year

All this helps me keep my skin smiling all through the year Smiley

Hi
Yes  the usuage of reputed brand of cosmetics is a must as the cheaper the quality of cosmetics more harm to the epidermal  layer is done.

When I say reputed I do bot mean expensive just the quality of ingriedients should be good and safe.

Poorna,
Can you post the reputed brands in a new thread? I think they are overpriced since they spend a lot of money on advertising and packaging

CTM(cleansing, toning, moisturizing) is a must for all skin types. Skin is basically divided into 3 types; oily skin, dry skin and combination skin. The type of skin you have is the key factor in deciding the skin care products that you need to use. There are various products available in the market today,so pick the one that is right for you and do remember to use only good branded products. Pay attention to your diet. Eat plenty of fresh fruits and green leafy vegetables.Stay away from junk food.Drink 6 to 8 glasses of water in a day.Sleep well-7 to 8 hours of sleep is necessary.Try to remain peaceful and happy because stress and strain will have a negative impact on your skin.

Riboflavin content food helps to keep soft skin and wrinkle free skin. We can get this in milk, butter, fish, egg, and grains.
Do not get tension. Because, tension will affect the skin's condition.
