It depends on your metabolic rate. Some people have a naturally high metabolic rate , so no dieting is required. Others need to combine exercise and diet

my metabolic rate is very very high naturally, same with my mams though so i must have got that from her, i can eat and eat even very un healthy foods and i just dont put weight on but ive recently started taking a healthy approach to eating including salad with my meals when ever i get the chance. I have 1 problem though i think due to eat 2 much chocolate or desserts i have extra fat on my face, my body is toned up but i have that excess weight around my face and kneck, do u tihnk this is due to the unhealthy eating part or will this come off in time, do i need to wait for this weight to drop off. I really dont understand it because i have never been fat but that extra weight is just there i can pull my cheeks out kinda far from my face. Also metabolism can be increased by resistance in lifting weights and things cant it?

I think the fat distribution on your face is decided by your genes. If you put on weight it usually shows on your face and if you become thin, your face also becomes thin. Some doctors may recommend liposuction to remove fat from a particular part of the body, but I don't think it is recommended

Hi Poorna,

It totally depends on your metabolic rate.

Many people have naturally high metabolic rate. If you come in this category, then there's no need of dieting.

If you don't have naturally high metabolic rate, then to loose weight effectively, you need to have a diet plan, control your diet & do some exercises regularly.
